in tim burton’s next film a cantankerous victorian clown (johnny depp) falls in love with a cracked porcelain doll (johnny depp). the quirky mayor (w/ top hat) marries them while rats (helena bonham-carter) crawl on their heads. the young couple finance their crippling grave-robbing habit by incessantly robbing graves. can they outwit the meddling hunchbacked igor gravedigger with their songs and japes? sure
notable goofs: in most scenes, tim burton and the president of hot topic can be seen in the background handing huge bags with $ signs written on them back and forth.
filmed entirely in black and white and red in purple. stop-motion. v/a work done in semi-authentic edwardian slang w/ ironic anachonisms. rated w/e for who cares
